The nursing undergraduate major at Rutgers-Camden is an upper-division program, which began in 1974. It is a rewarding program, which emphasizes challenging classes and excellence in practice, addresses ethical issues, and involves supportive, caring faculty who deliver personalized attention to their students.
Accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education and the New Jersey State Board of Nursing, the nursing major's required courses are given in the junior and senior undergraduate years after successful completion of the pre-requisites. At completion of this 120-credit major, the student is awarded the BS in Nursing and is eligible to take the NCLEX licensing examination.
There is also an Advanced Placement Program for registered nurses who want to earn the BS in Nursing.
We invite you to browse our Nursing website and hope you will consider Rutgers-Camden.
